If the macOS that you want isn't compatible with your Mac or the currently installed macOS, the installer will let you know, and the App Store might prevent you from downloading it. For example, it might dim the Get button, say that the macOS is not compatible with this device, or say that the requested version of macOS is not available.

To download the macOS Mojave installer, go to the Mac App Store > Updates tab and choose Mojave installer (Here is a direct link.) When it's ready, it's going to launch automatically. You will need to quit it at this point, we're not running it this way.
The tiny 22 MB incomplete installer requires an internet connection during usage to download the rest of the Mojave update files. Additionally, it does not allow to create a macOS Mojave USB installer drive for use on multiple computers.
A similar mini-installer issue occurred previously with some users getting a tiny incomplete macOS High Sierra installer too and I covered a similar workaround here to download the complete installer file from Apple servers.
You will not be getting it from Apple. I usually archive all installer versions. But the general installer certificate expiration this October has made archived installers pretty useless or at least hard to use. -used-to-sign-older-apple-software-expiring-on-october-24-2019/
Since the patcher officially supports Big Sur and newer for patching, only those entires will be shown. For ourselves, we'll select macOS 12 as that's the latest public release at the time of writing. This will download and install the macOS installer to your applications folder.
Oh wow thank you so much for this! been looking high and low and in the end i went ahead to install the latest Catalina. Just downloaded Mojave using the links you provided and will keep it as a backup future installer. Went to 3-4 other sites to download a copy of Mojave and all did not work.
But what if you've already upgraded to Catalina, or you have a new mac that runs only Catalina, and you can't install Mojave into Parallels with your Mac's recovery partition. All is not lost. You'll need to download the Mojave installer from the Mac App Store and use it to install Mojave in Parallels.
Now that Catalina is released, Apple doesn't display an option to download Mojave from the App Store, but it's still on Apple's servers. If you search deeply enough on Apple's web site, you can find the web address that opens the App Store page where you can download the Mojave installer. I did the search so that you don't have to. Simply visit this Mojave(Opens in a new window) page, and the App Store will offer the Mojave installer for downloading. Or, if you prefer to download and install the previous operating system, visit the High Sierra(Opens in a new window) page.
So, instead of using the Recovery Partition, you'll need to download a Mojave or High Sierra installer, as described above, and drag it into the Select the Installation Window. Follow the prompts to install a virtual machine. When the new virtual system starts up, use the Virtual Machine/Install VMware Tools menu to install the VMware Tools. After restarting the virtual machine, drag your 32-bit apps into it and run them in the same way you can run them in Parallels. VMware uses the name Unity for the same option that Parallels calls Coherence; it runs an app in a virtual machine in a way that looks as if the program is running in a window of your main macOS installation.
Fortunately, firmware flashing does not require updating in a particular order. I went from 138.0.0.0.0 to 144.0.0.0.0 without any problems. There's several avenues for this, including the Mac App store, but when I used the Mac App Store route, I didn't get the combined OS installer (The Mojave installer + all the updates to Mojave). The easiest way to obtain the final combined update for Mojave is to use Dosdude1's installer. Much like before, download the OS DosDude1's installer, even though we have supported hardware but with the patcher for 10.14.
Now that your bootable ISO image with the macOS installer is ready, you should prepare your ESXi host for the installation of macOS as a guest OS on VMs. You need to enable SSH access, download the patch, copy the patch to the file system of the ESXi server, and patch the ESXi server.
This section explains how to correctly create a macOS Mojave bootable ISO image. First, download the macOS Mojave installer from the App Store. In the current example, a machine running macOS Mojave is used for downloading the macOS Mojave installer to avoid using third party downloading tools. Open AppStore, find macOS Mojave, click View and then click Get to download the installer. Notice that you need a full installer whose size is about 6.03 GB. If after downloading the installer, installation starts automatically, cancel it. After successfully downloading you can see the Install macOS Mojave.app file in the Applications directory. Open Finder and click Applications in the left pane of the Finder window to check the installer file.
Download and re-install Apple Java 6- After you upgraded your Apple Mac OSX from a previous release to 10.10, Apple Java 6 may no longer exists on your upgraded system. If you then launch Statistics 22 which is an application that relies on Java 6, it can happen, the Mac OS pops up a dialog box stating Java 6 was requested, but none is present.- The Java dialog has a "More Info" button, which when clicked opens a browser to an Apple Tech Support page for Apple Java 2014-001. A download link is provided: - Click on the download link and a DMG containing the Java 6 installer is downloaded.- Then you open the Java DMG, double click on the Java installer, follow the prompts and complete the installation of Java 6.*******
Note: You do not need to install any other software. A Java virtual machine is included with this download. If you are updating your 32-bit installation to 64-bit, the installer will automatically detect your old installation and retain your existing settings. No manual intervention is required. 2ff7e9595c
