Hi there,I bought STB3 a couple of years back and ran it on the same PC as my boxed version of FSX without any problems; great program. After a spell where I lost interest in flight simming I bought FSX-SE which I installed having first removed FSX boxed from my windows 10 PC. I re-installed STB on the same PC as FSX-SE, updating it to V3.2.1.15, but it won't connect to FSX after a flight has loaded. After pressing the CONNECT button the message window in the bottom right of the window says 'Deleting old STB Flight Plans' and then 'Connecting to Flight Simulator X, please wait. After a few seconds I get the message box.Unable to connect to Flight Simulator X. Please make sure a flight has completed loading before again trying to connect.I have tried starting the flight in different locations with different aircraft but get the same error message.I should perhaps mention that after initially installing STB the second time I hadn't realized that having Simconnect configured for the addons I have running on a networked laptop appears to make STB think it too is running on a network creating other, longer, error messages when trying to connect (this is what I've gleaned from reading other users help requests).
To try and eliminate the error message I was receiving above, I disabled the SimConnect.cfg file (renamed it) and tried again. This time the configuration wizard appeared to accept that STB is not running on a network (STB Data Server (Remote SImulator) box in the settings panel is greyed out) but now when I try to connect to FSX I get.Unable to connect to Flight Simulator X. Please make sure a flight has completed loading before again trying to connect. So thats where I'm at just now. The network connection is disabled but STB still won't run on the same PC as FSX.ThanksJeffEdited January 15, 2017 by regularguy. STB is built on 61259 so there should be no problem there. Difficult to know what else to do, but let's try a SimConnect server trace to see if the request for a connection ever gets to FSX. To do this.1) Place the attached file in 'My DocumentsFlight Simulator X Files'2) If you have any other add-ons in FSX exe.xml or dll.xml please disable them. 2ff7e9595c
